ACTIVE BONNET SENSOR WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning

•  Handling the active bonnet sensor improperly can accidentally operate the active bonnet actuator, which may seriously injure you. Read the active bonnet service warnings and cautions before handling the active bonnet sensor. (See ACTIVE BONNET SERVICE WARNINGS.) (See ACTIVE BONNET SERVICE CAUTIONS.)

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the seal board upper. (See SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Disconnect the active bonnet sensor connectors. (See Active Bonnet Sensor Connector Disconnect Note.)

6.  Disconnect the front ultrasonic sensor connector. (with front ultrasonic sensor)

7.  Disconnect the front camera connector. (with front camera)

8.  Remove the clips.

9.  Remove the active bonnet sensor wiring harness.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

11.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).

12.  Verify that the active bonnet warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and turns off.

•  If the active bonnet warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (active bonnet) and perform inspection of the system. (See FLOWCHART [SAS CONTROL MODULE (ACTIVE BONNET)].)

13.  Perform the 360°view monitor system aiming. (With 360° view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING.)

Active Bonnet Sensor Connector Disconnect Note

1.  Pull out the active bonnet sensor connector lock lever in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

2.  While pressing the lock lever in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, disconnect the active bonnet sensor connector.
