POSITION MEMORY SWITCH INSPECTION

Warning

•  Handling a front seat equipped with a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated). 1.  Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the position memory switch connector. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Verify that the continuity between the position memory switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
