Description

Rear power seat control module (LH) internal malfunction

Detection condition

•  Rear power seat control module (LH) detects abnormal current in slide motor (LH)/walk-in actuator (LH).

Fail-safe

•  Inhibits the rear power slide function from being driven.

•  Inhibits the rear power walk-in operation seat back fold-down function from being driven.

•  Inhibits the rear power walk-in return function from being driven.

Possible cause

•  Rear power seat control module (LH) was affected by electromagnetic field noise.

•  Rear power seat control module (LH) malfunction

VERIFY REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (LH) DTCs

•  Clear the DTC for the rear power seat control module (LH) using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (LH)].)

•  Retrieve the rear power seat control module (LH) DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See DTC INSPECTION [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (LH)].)

•  Are any DTCs other than DTC U3000:01 and U3000:0A displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REAR POWER SEAT SYSTEM OPERATES NORMALLY

•  Operate the following functions of the rear power seat system.

―  Rear power walk-in operation

―  Rear power walk-in return

―  Rear power slide (forward)

―  Rear power slide (backward)

―  Rear power recliner (forward)

―  Rear power recliner (backward)

•  Do all the functions of the rear power seat system operate normally?

Yes

Explain the following conditions to the customer.

•  The rear power walk-in may not have operated as it was affected by the electromagnetic field noise from outside the vehicle.

•  The rear power walk-in may not operate normally in that place.

Go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

•  Clear the DTC for the rear power seat control module (LH) using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (LH)].)

•  Retrieve the rear power seat control module (LH) DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See DTC INSPECTION [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (LH)].)

•  Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes

Replace the second-row seat (LH), then go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED

•  Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
