KEYLESS ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Vehicle Interior, Front (With Advanced Keyless Entry System)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Selector lever knob (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Side wall (LH) (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front console box (With front console box) (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Wireless charger (Qi) (With wireless charger (Qi)) (See WIRELESS CHARGER (Qi) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  While pressing the keyless antenna bracket tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket tabs from the instrument panel.

4.  Remove the keyless antenna from the instrument panel.

5.  Disconnect the connector from the keyless antenna.

Caution

•  Disconnect the connector while holding the keyless antenna, otherwise the keyless antenna bracket could be damaged.

6.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

7.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

8.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Vehicle Interior, Rear (With Advanced Keyless Entry System)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the third-row seat cushion (See THIRD-ROW SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  While pressing the keyless antenna bracket tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket tabs from the body.

4.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the body.

5.  Disconnect the connector from the keyless antenna.

Caution

•  Disconnect the connector while holding the keyless antenna, otherwise the keyless antenna bracket could be damaged.

6.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

7.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

8.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Vehicle Exterior, Rear (With Advanced Keyless Entry System)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear splash shield (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear bumper (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the connector from the keyless antenna.

Caution

•  Disconnect the connector while holding the keyless antenna, otherwise the keyless antenna bracket could be damaged.

4.  While pressing the keyless antenna bracket tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket tabs from the bracket.

5.  Remove the keyless antenna from the bracket.

6.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

7.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

8.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Vehicle Exterior, Driver's Side/Passenger's Side (With Advanced Keyless Entry System)

Note

•  The keyless antenna (vehicle exterior, driver's side/passenger's side) cannot be removed as a single unit because it is built into the front outer handle. To replace the keyless antenna (vehicle exterior, driver's side/passenger's side), replace the front outer handle. (See FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Vehicle Interior, Center

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the rear console panel. (See REAR CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the rear cooler duct. (See REAR COOLER DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the connector from the keyless antenna.

Caution

•  Disconnect the connector while holding the keyless antenna, otherwise the keyless antenna bracket could be damaged.

5.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

6.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

7.  Remove the keyless antenna from the keyless antenna bracket.

8.  While pressing the keyless antenna bracket tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket tabs from the rear A/C unit.

9.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
