Transaxle range circuit not indicating Park/Neutral during self test

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The transmission range circuit does not indicate PARK/NEUTRAL during the self-test.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Gear selector not in PARK/NEUTRAL

VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
•  Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related Service Information availability.
•  Is any related Service Information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY THE SELECTOR LEVER POSITION
•  Was the selector lever position in P or N position during the KOEO or KOER self-test?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Perform the KOEO or KOER self-test.
Then go to Step 5.

VERIFY STORED DTC IN TCM
•  Are DTCs stored?
Yes
Go to the appropriate DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P1705:00 HAS BEEN COMPLETED
•  Verify that all disconnected connectors reconnected.
•  Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the KOEO or KOER self-test.
•  Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
•  Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Troubleshooting completed.
