SAS control module (Yaw rate sensor part) initial point correction error

DETECTION CONDITION
|
• When a difference occurs between the estimated yaw rate value which is calculated by each sensor and the yaw rate value which is detected by the SAS control module (yaw rate sensor part).
• The yaw rate sensor initialization is not completed.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• It occurs since the initial point correction for the SAS control module (yaw rate sensor part) cannot be performed due to the vehicle being continuously driven on a curve, and does not indicate an DSC/RSC system malfunction
• The vehicle continues to zigzag after accelerating off the mark (only when ignition is switched ON for first time).
• DSC/RSC HU/CM malfunction

PERFORM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
• Perform the initialization procedure for the DSC/RSC HU/CM.
|
After the initialization procedure for the DSC/RSC HU/CM has been completed, go to the next step.

VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Clear the DTC from the memory.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DSC/RSC].)
• Start the engine and drive the vehicle at 72 km/h {45 mph}or more.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction occurs again, replace the DSC/RSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Are any other DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DSC/RSC].)

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
