Warning

•  If the initialization procedure is not completed, the parking lock actuator will not operate properly and it might cause an unexpected accident. Therefore, after replacing the parking lock actuator, always perform the initialization procedure to insure proper parking lock actuator operation. (See PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE [A71M].)

1.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the wiring harness clips and bolts shown in the figure, then remove the bracket.

Note

•  Place the wiring harness out of the way where it will not interfere with work.

4.  Remove the bolts shown in the figure and remove the bracket.

5.  Remove the wiring harness connector and wiring harness clips shown in the figure.

6.  Remove the bolts shown in the figure and remove the parking lock actuator. (See Parking Lock Actuator Installation Note.)

7.  Remove the bolts shown in the figure and remove the bracket. (See Bracket Installation Note.)

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

9.  If the parking lock actuator is replaced or removed, perform the parking lock actuator initial setting. (See PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE [A71M].)

Bracket Installation Note

1.  Tighten the bracket installation bolts in the order shown in the figure.

•  When installing the new parking lock actuator, apply grease to the EV transaxle side. (B4Y4-33247 or equivalent)

1.  Tighten the parking lock actuator installation bolts in the order shown in the figure.
