•  Any driver’s side door, passenger’s side door, or liftgate is open

•  Main power is switched to ACC or ON (READY on)

•  High voltage battery state of charge (SOC) has decreased

•  Heat pump control unit malfunction

•  Climate control system power supply malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

1	VERIFY PERSONALIZATION FEATURES SETTING • Verify the personalization features status for the climate control timer. • Is the climate control timer turned off?	Yes	Turn the climate control timer on and verify the climate control timer operation. • Operation is verified ― Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.) • Operation is not verified ― Go to the next step.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY PERSONALIZATION FEATURES SETTING • Verify the remote climate control status using the personalization features. • Is the remote climate control turned on?	Yes	Turn the remote climate control off and verify the climate control timer operation. • Operation is verified ― Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.) • Operation is not verified ― Go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY CHARGING CONDITIONS • Verify that the high voltage battery state of charge (SOC). • Is the high voltage battery state of charge (SOC) 38% or more?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Charge the high voltage battery so that its state of charge (SOC) is 38% or more and verify the climate control timer operation. • Operation is verified ― Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.) • Operation is not verified ― Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY DOOR CONDITIONS • Verify the open/close condition of the driver’s door, passenger’s door, and the liftgate. • Are any of the driver’s side doors, passenger’s side doors, or liftgate open?	Yes	Close the open door or liftgate and verify the climate control timer operation. • Operation is verified ― Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.) • Operation is not verified ― Go to the next step.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY EV SYSTEM RELATED DTCs • Perform the DTC inspections for the following modules. (See DTC INSPECTION.) ― PCM ― BECM • Are DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (e-SKYACTIV)].) (See DTC TABLE [BECM (e-SKYACTIV)].)
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	VERIFY HEAT PUMP CONTROL UNIT DTCs • Perform the DTC inspection for the heat pump control unit using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [HEAT PUMP CONTROL UNIT].)
6		No	Go to the next step.
7	VERIFY DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT DTCs • Perform the DTC inspection for dash-electrical supply unit using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT].)
7		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification	VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTION DOES NOT RECUR AFTER REPAIRS • Does the climate control timer operate normally?	Yes	Troubleshooting completed (explain repair contents to customer).
Repair completion verification		No	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [L.H.D. (E)].) (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [R.H.D.].) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
