Possible cause	• High voltage battery state of charge (SOC) has decreased • Radio waves were not received • EV system malfunction • Heat pump control unit malfunction • Climate control system power supply malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY CHARGING CONDITIONS • Verify that the high voltage battery state of charge (SOC). • Is the high voltage battery state of charge (SOC) 38% or more?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Charge the high voltage battery so that its state of charge (SOC) is 38% or more and verify the climate control timer operation. • Operation is verified ― Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.) • Operation is not verified ― Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RADIO RECEPTION CONDITION • Verify if radio waves are received.	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Send the remote climate control request again in a location where radio reception condition is good and verify operation of the remote climate control. • Operation is verified ― Troubleshooting completed. (Explain the contents of the servicing to the customer.) • Operation is not verified ― Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY EV SYSTEM RELATED DTCs • Perform the DTC inspections for the following modules. (See DTC INSPECTION.) ― PCM ― BECM • Are DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (e-SKYACTIV)].) (See DTC TABLE [BECM (e-SKYACTIV)].)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY HEAT PUMP CONTROL UNIT DTCs AGAIN • Perform the DTC inspection for the heat pump control unit using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [HEAT PUMP CONTROL UNIT].)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT DTCs • Perform the DTC inspection for dash-electrical supply unit using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT].)
5		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification	VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTION DOES NOT RECUR AFTER REPAIRS • Does the remote climate control operate normally?	Yes	Troubleshooting completed (explain repair contents to customer).
Repair completion verification		No	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [L.H.D. (E)].) (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [R.H.D.].) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
