VERIFY REPLACEMENT RECORD OF APPROACHING VEHICLE AUDIBLE SYSTEM DEVICE
• Before performing the troubleshooting diagnostic procedure this time, verify if the approaching vehicle audible system device was replaced.
• Was the approaching vehicle audible system device replaced?

Yes
|
After re-implementing the required servicing when replacing the approaching vehicle audible system device in accordance with approaching vehicle audible system device removal/installation, perform the repair completion verification.

No
|
Go to the next step.

RESET CONFIGURATION DATA FOR BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)
• Using the M-MDS, perform the body control module (BCM) configuration.
(See CONFIGURATION.)
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Switch the main power ON (READY off or on) and wait for 30 s or more.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the approaching vehicle audible system device.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes
|
Perform the body control module (BCM) configuration again using the M-MDS and perform the repair completion verification.
(See CONFIGURATION.)

No
|
Go to repair completion verification 2.

VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Switch the main power ON (READY off or on) and wait for 30 s or more.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM).
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes
|
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the approaching vehicle audible system device, then go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

• Perform the DTC inspection.
