FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)]

1.  To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the positions (vehicle body side) shown in the figure.

2.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the fasteners.

4.  Pull the front over fender in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the clips.

5.  Partially pull away the front over fender and remove the fasteners for the front mudguard.

6.  Remove the screw.

7.  Remove the screws and fasteners.

8.  Partially peel back the front under cover No.1 and remove the bolts and fasteners at the positions shown in the figure.

9.  Partially pull back the front deflectors.

10.  Disconnect the connectors.

11.  Remove the wiring harness clips.

12.  Remove the clip. (With headlight cleaner system)

13.  Remove the screws.

14.  Remove the fasteners.

Caution

•  Carefully remove the front bumper from the front bumper slider. If the front bumper is removed from the front bumper slider with excessive force, the front bumper hook may be damaged because the front bumper and the front bumper slider are engaged firmly.

•  If the front bumper hooks are detached from the front bumper slider without supporting the front bumper, it may fall off and be damaged. Detach the front bumper slider hooks from the front bumper using two people, one person supports the front bumper.

15.  Pull the rear end of the front bumper in the order of the arrows shown in the figure, and detach the front bumper slider hooks from the front bumper.

16.  Move the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the body.

17.  Disconnect the connectors.

18.  Remove the wiring harness clip.

19.  While pressing the hooks in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the headlight cleaner hose in the direction of arrow (2) to disconnect the headlight cleaner hose from the headlight cleaner motor. (With headlight cleaner system)

20.  Remove the front bumper.

21.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Caution

•  If there is foreign matter on the front bumper, the aiming cannot be performed correctly. Before performing the aiming, verify that there are no stickers, water, mud, or dirt on the front bumper.

22.  Perform the 360°view monitor system aiming. (With 360°view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING.)

23.  Perform the front radar sensor/front side radar sensor aiming. (With front side radar sensor) (See FRONT RADAR SENSOR/FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING.)

24.  Perform the front radar sensor aiming. (Without front side radar sensor) (See FRONT RADAR SENSOR AIMING.)
