Warning

• Handling a seat equipped with a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling a front seat equipped with a side air bag.

Vehicles with position memory system

• The seat heater control unit is installed inside the position memory control module. For removal/installation of the seat warmer control unit, refer to “POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION”. (See POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Vehicle without position memory system

1. Remove the front passenger's seat installation bolts.(See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

2. Switch the main power OFF.

3. Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

4. Remove the head restraints.

5. Remove the front passenger's seat.(See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

6. Disconnect the connectors.

7. Remove the screws.

8. Remove the seat warmer control unit.

9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
