POWER SEAT SWITCH INSPECTION

Warning

•  Handling a front seat equipped with a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated).(See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM (E)].)(See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM (E)].)

1.  Switch the main power OFF.

2.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the power seat switch.(See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

4.  Verify that the continuity between the power seat switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as specified, replace the front seat.(See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)
