COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

L.H.D.

1.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Disconnect the joint pipe A of the windshield washer hose. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the clips.

4.  Remove clips A and B. (when removing the weatherstrip)

5.  Remove the weatherstrip. (when removing the weatherstrip)

6.  Remove the fasteners.

7.  Remove the pins.

8.  Pull the cowl grille in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the tabs.

9.  To remove the side cowl grille, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Remove the windshield wiper de-icer wiring harness from the hooks. (With windshield wiper de-icer)

(2)  Remove the tabs A and B of the side cowl grille shown in the figure from the upper dashboard panel.

(3)  Move the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown and detach the clip from the upper dashboard panel.

(4)  Pull out the pin while pulling the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

10.  Remove the side cowl grille.

11.  Install the removed clip to the side cowl grille.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

6.  Remove the fasteners.

8.  Pull the cowl grille in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the tabs.

9.  To remove the side cowl grille, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Remove the windshield wiper de-icer wiring harness from the hooks. (With windshield wiper de-icer)

(2)  Remove the tabs A and B of the side cowl grille shown in the figure from the upper dashboard panel.

(3)  Move the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown and detach the clip from the upper dashboard panel.

(4)  Pull out the pin while pulling the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

10.  Remove the side cowl grille.

11.  Install the removed clip to the side cowl grille.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
