WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the cowl grille. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Caution

•  Always apply protective tape to the windshield end. If the windshield wiper motor and link contacts the windshield, it could damage the windshield.

4.  Apply protective tape to the windshield end as shown in the figure.

5.  Disconnect the connector.

6.  Remove the bolts. (See Bolt Installation Note.)

7.  Remove the windshield wiper motor and link while pulling out its pin from the vehicle.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

9.  Perform the windshield wiper arm and blade initial setting. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE INITIAL SETTING.)

Bolt Installation Note

1.  Temporarily tighten bolt A.

2.  Completely tighten bolt B.

3.  Completely tighten bolt A.

4.  Completely tighten bolt C.
