Drive motor control module high voltage circuit: Over-voltage malfunction

Detection condition
•  The drive motor control module detects that the voltage value detected by the drive motor control module voltage sensor in the inverter is the specified value or more.
Fail-safe
•  Cuts off the high voltage circuit.
Possible cause
•  Drive motor control module detects high voltage circuit open circuit-related DTC
•  Inverter malfunction
―  Drive motor control module input voltage sensor malfunction
―  Drive motor control module malfunction

•  If necessary measures such as wearing the correct protective gear are not taken when inspecting or removing/installing the high voltage parts, it could cause electrical shock and result in serious injury or, in the worst case, death.
•  Before inspecting or removing/installing the high voltage parts, refer to [HIGH VOLTAGE SERVICE CAUTIONS] in the general information and [High Voltage Part Inspection and Removal/Installation Notes] of the high voltage system service cautions and implement the necessary measures and preparations. RECORD VEHICLE STATUS WHEN DTC WAS DETECTED TO UTILIZE WITH REPEATABILITY VERIFICATION
•  Record the snapshot data.
Note
•  Recording can be facilitated using the screen capture function of the PC.
Go to the next step.

VERIFY WHETHER MALFUNCTION IS PRESENT OR PAST
•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the drive motor control module.
•  Is DTC P0C0D:01 a present malfunction?
Yes
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, replace the drive motor control module and perform the repair completion verification 1.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT FOR OTHER RELATED DTCs
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the drive motor control module.
•  Is the DTC P0D2F:14 displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
The vehicle is normal.
•  A temporary malfunction can be considered due to a momentary shut off of the high voltage contactor while driving, such as on a road with unevenness.
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 1
VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2
VERIFY THAT NO OTHER MALFUNCTION OCCURS
Warning
•  While performing this step, always operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
•  Drive the vehicle for 10 min or more.
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
