Description
|
• The charge connector remains locked and cannot be disconnected after normal charge has completed.
|

Possible cause
|
Charge connector unlock drive circuit malfunction:
• PCM detects DTCs
• Charge connector lock actuator malfunction
Charge connector unlock setting:
• Charge connector lock operation is set to lock
Power door and charge lid lock system operation malfunction:
• Body control module (BCM) detects DTCs

• Refer to the owner’s manual and verify the charge connector lock operation setting status.
• Is the charge connector lock operation set to unlock?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Set the charge connector lock operation to unlock and perform the repair completion verification.
|

VERIFY PCM AND BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCs
• Perform the DTC inspections for the following modules.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Are charge connector lock actuator related DTCs or power door lock system DTCs displayed?

Yes
|
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [PCM (e-SKYACTIV)].)

No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT CHARGE CONNECTOR LOCK ACTUATOR FOR MALFUNCTION
• Inspect the applicable part.
• Is the part normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Wear insulating gloves and repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

Repair completion verification
|
VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
• Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
• Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?

Yes
|
Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain repair contents to customer.)
|
No
|
Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
