Description	•  Vehicle does not move when accelerator pedal is depressed. •  The engine revs up but the vehicle does not move even though the accelerator pedal is depressed. •  Tires are locked and do not move even though the accelerator pedal is depressed.
Possible cause	1.  Parking lock actuator malfunction 2.  Improper operation of parking mechanism 3.  Manual shaft (manual valve) stuck 4.  Torque converter malfunction

1	INSPECT FOR INCORRECT OPERATION DUE TO PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR MALFUNCTION •  Does the selector lever position correspond to the shift position indication under the following conditions? ―  Vehicle is stopped on flat road ―  Start the engine and idle it ―  Apply the parking brake	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Perform the symptom troubleshooting for the shift-by-wire system. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING [SHIFT-BY-WIRE SYSTEM].)
2	INSPECT PARKING MECHANISM FOR MALFUNCTION •  Does the vehicle move when pushed under the following conditions? ―  Vehicle is stopped on flat road ―  Switch the ignition off ―  Other than P position ―  Parking brake is released	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Replace the parking mechanism. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ET6A-EL].) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ET6AX-EL].)
3	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS MANUAL SHAFT OR TORQUE CONVERTER •  Move the vehicle to a level surface and apply the parking brake. •  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.) •  Remove the battery component (ex: battery, battery tray and PCM component). (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].) •  Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].) •  Remove the parking lock actuator.
