• Vehicle does not move when accelerator pedal is depressed.
• The engine revs up but the vehicle does not move even though the accelerator pedal is depressed.
• Tires are locked and do not move even though the accelerator pedal is depressed.

INSPECT FOR INCORRECT OPERATION DUE TO PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR MALFUNCTION
• Does the selector lever position correspond to the shift position indication under the following conditions?

Perform the symptom troubleshooting for the shift-by-wire system.

INSPECT PARKING MECHANISM FOR MALFUNCTION
• Does the vehicle move when pushed under the following conditions?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Replace the parking mechanism.

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS MANUAL SHAFT OR TORQUE CONVERTER
• Move the vehicle to a level surface and apply the parking brake.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Remove the battery component (ex: battery, battery tray and PCM component).
• Remove the air cleaner component.
• Remove the parking lock actuator.
• Can the manual shaft be rotated by hand?

Yes

Replace the automatic transaxle.

Replace the control valve body as the manual shaft (manual valve) may be stuck.
