•  Operate the light switch to the TNS (parking lights) position.

•  Are there any lights among the following which are not turned on?

―  Taillight (liftgate light) (LH)

―  Taillight (liftgate light) (RH)

―  License plate light (LH)

―  License plate light (RH)

Yes

All lights do not flash:

•  Go to the next step.

Taillight (liftgate light) (LH) does not turn on:

•  Go to Step 4.

Taillight (liftgate light) (RH) does not turn on:

•  Go to Step 8.

License plate light (LH) and license plate light (RH) do not flash:

•  Go to Step 12.

No

Go to repair completion verification.

•  Inspect the applicable connector and terminal.

•  Are the connector and terminal normal?

Yes

No

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

•  Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.

•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.

•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 2 s or more.

•  Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM).

•  Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

If the CAN communication is normal, replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

Yes

If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.

•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the body control module (BCM), then go to the next step.

(See CLEARING DTC.) • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 2 s or more. • Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
