Warning

• If the sliding mechanisms on both sides are not locked after assembling the front seat, the front seat may operate accidentally while the vehicle is driven, which could result in serious injury. After assembling the front seat, try moving it back and forth to verify that the sliding mechanisms on both sides are locked. (With manual seat)

Caution
-
• When removing the front seat, remove it with its seat back locked.
• After the front seat has been removed, if the slider lever is operated and the front seat is reinstalled with the left/right slide positions deviated, the adjuster unit could be damaged. After removing a front seat, do not operate the slider lever. (With manual seat)
• Verify that there are no malfunctions in the forward/back slide of the seat and in the adjuster unit after installing a front seat.
• When performing the procedure with a front seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.
1. Remove the front seat installation bolts. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Perform the following procedure. (Without seat warmer system)
- (1) Switch the ignition off.

- (2) Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3. Perform the following procedure. (With seat warmer system)
- (1) Verify if the ground plate needs to be disconnected and if it does, disconnect it. (See GROUND PLATE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

4. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Remove the walk in switch outer bezel. (See WALK IN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6. Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and set the front seat cushion trim away from the spring on the front seat cushion frame.
7. Remove the connector shown in the figure.
8. Using a remover tool, remove the side air bag connector.

9. Move the seat warmer connector in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and remove the connector. (With seat warmer system)
10. Remove the wiring harness clips.
11. Cut the bands.
12. Move hook A in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and remove it from hook B. (See Front Seat Back Installation Note.)
13. Unzip the zippers.

Caution
-
• If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back frame, it may not be possible to install the front seat back trim and front seat back frame normally. When removing or installing the front seat cushion trim and the front seat cushion frame, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
• If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
14. Remove the C-rings.
15. Move each hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to disengage the suspension mat and front seat back trim.
16. While pressing the pole guide tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the pole guide in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the pole guide from the front seat back frame.
17. Remove the nuts.
18. Pull the side air bag module securing belt in the directions of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and set it away from the stud bolt on the front seat back frame.
19. Detach the clip.
20. Pull out the side air bag short cord.
21. Pull out the front seat back pad, front seat back trim, and front seat back warmer wiring harness (with seat warmer system) towards the front of the front seat.
22. Lift up the front seat back trim and the front seat back pad as a single unit and remove them from the front seat back frame.

• If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the front seat back trim and front seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the front seat back trim and the front seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
• If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
23. Remove the C-rings at the positions shown in the figure and remove the front seat back trim from the front seat back pad. (See Front Seat Back Trim Installation Note.)

• The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.
24. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Front Seat Back Trim Installation Note

Caution
-
• If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the front seat back trim and front seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the front seat back trim and the front seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
• If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
1. Align the installation holes of the front seat back trim and the front seat back pad, and install the C-rings.

• The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.
• Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.
2. Press the front seat back pad inward while pulling the front seat back trim outward.
Front Seat Back Installation Note
1. Align the front seat back trim with the shape of the front seat back pad while pressing the front seat back pad outward.
2. Pull the front seat back trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the wrinkles on the front seat back trim.
