•  Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a short to ground.
•  Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
If there is no common connector:
•  Repair or replace the wiring harness which has a short to ground.
Go to Step 6.

INSPECT AUDIO AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
•  Verify that the audio amplifier and tuner and amp unit (TAU) connectors are disconnected.
•  Connect the negative battery terminal.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
•  Measure the voltage at the following terminals (wiring harness-side):
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2P
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2N
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2Q
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2O
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 1U
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2L
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 1Y
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2J
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2M
―  Tuner and amp unit (TAU) terminal 2K
•  Is the voltage 0 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between the following terminals:

5
VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS AUDIO AMPLIFIER DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY
•  Always reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Connect the negative battery terminal.
•  Clear the DTC for the connectivity master unit (CMU) using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 7 s or more.
•  Retrieve the connectivity master unit (CMU) DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Replace the audio amplifier, then go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 7.
6
VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Always reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Connect the negative battery terminal.
•  Clear the DTC for the connectivity master unit (CMU) using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 7 s or more.
•  Retrieve the connectivity master unit (CMU) DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
