• Shorting any terminal other than one that requires servicing may damage the vehicle. When shorting a terminal using a jumper wire, always verify that the jumper wire is connected to the correct terminal.

• If the parking sensor buzzer does not sound, the procedure for activating the beep sound adjustment mode may have been performed incorrectly. Switch the ignition off and repeat the procedure from Step 3.
1. Using the retractable hardtop switch, keep the front roof half-open. (retractable hardtop)
2. Open the convertible top. (convertible top)
3. Remove the following parts:
- (1) Scuff plate (RH) (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (2) Tire house trim (RH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (3) Front seat back bar garnish (RH) (See SEAT BACK BAR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (4) Quarter trim (RH) (See QUARTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Partially peel back the back trim. (See PARKING ASSIST UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Perform the following procedure to determine the correct adjustment procedure.
