FRONT SIDE TURN LIGHT INSPECTION

Front Side Turn Light (power outer mirror type) Illumination Verification

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Remove the outer mirror glass. (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL.) (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Remove the outer mirror garnish. (See OUTER MIRROR GARNISH REMOVAL.) (See OUTER MIRROR GARNISH INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Remove the front side turn light. (See FRONT SIDE TURN LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the battery as shown in the figure.

•  If the front side turn light does not illuminate, replace it.

•  If the front side turn light illuminates, go to the short cord inspection.

Short-cord Inspection

1.  Remove the inner garnish. (See INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the front door trim. (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [3HB].)

3.  Disconnect the power outer mirror connector. (See POWER OUTER MIRROR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Verify that the continuity between the short-cord terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the power outer mirror.
