HOLD indicator light does not illuminate when HOLD switch is turned to ON
DESCRIPTION
•  HOLD indicator light in dashboard does not illuminate when HOLD switch is turned on and IG SW at ON.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  HOLD switch (built-in selector lever component), HOLD indicator light or related wiring harness malfunction.

Diagnostic procedure

Are other indicator lights illuminated with ignition switch ON?
Yes
Go to next step.
No
Inspect meter fuse.

Inspect TCS PID value using the M-MDS.
Is TCS PID value okay?
Yes
Go to Step 4.
No
Go to the next step.

Inspect the HOLD switch.
Is the HOLD switch normal?
Yes
Inspect for open circuit in wiring harness between PCM terminal 1N and selector lever component.
Repair or replace any malfunctioning part.
No
Replace the selector lever component.

Inspect the instrument cluster.
Is instrument cluster normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the instrument cluster.

•  Verify test results.
―  If okay, return to diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
―  If malfunction remains, inspect related Service informations and perform repair or diagnosis.
•  If vehicle not repaired, trouble shooting completed.
•  If vehicle not repaired or additional diagnostic information not available, replace PCM.
