ADJUSTER ANCHOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [3HB]

Warning

•  The side air bag sensor is attached to the lower part of the B-pillar. When working around the B-pillar, disconnect the negative battery cable or work carefully, avoiding excessive impact to the lower part of the B-pillar.

1.  Switch the ignition to off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [3HB])

(2)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (See REAR SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [3HB].)

(4)  Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [3HB])

(5)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [3HB])

(6)  Adjuster anchor cover (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

(7)  Upper anchor installation bolts on the front seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

(8)  B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove bolt.

5.  Rotate and remove the adjuster anchor as shown in the figure.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
