REMOTE TUNER (RT) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  If the remote tuner is replaced, contact Sirius XM dealer support and tell them the radio ID and VIN. Otherwise, the Sirius XM satellite radio may be unusable. (With Sirius XM satellite radio)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear package trim (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the nuts.

4.  Remove the wiring harness clip.

5.  Disconnect the connectors.

6.  When removing the bracket A and B, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Remove the screws.

(2)  Remove the bracket A.

(3)  Remove the screws.

(4)  Remove the bracket B.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

8.  If the remote tuner is replaced, contact Sirius XM dealer support and tell them the radio ID and VIN. (With Sirius XM satellite radio)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the screws.

4.  Remove the bolts.

5.  Remove the wiring harness clip A and B.

6.  Disconnect the connectors.

7.  When removing the bracket A and B, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Remove the screws.

(2)  Remove the bracket A.

(3)  Remove the screws.

(4)  Remove the bracket B.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

9.  If the remote tuner is replaced, contact Sirius XM dealer support and tell them the radio ID and VIN. (With Sirius XM satellite radio)
