ELECTRIC AT OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS5A-EL]

Caution
•  Do not drop or apply a shock to the electric AT oil pump. Replace the electric AT oil pump if it has been dropped or received an impact.
•  Do not disassemble the electric AT oil pump. Replace the electric AT oil pump if it has been disassembled.

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3.  Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)

4.  Remove the aerodynamic under cover No.2. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT [FS5A-EL].)

6.  Disconnect the water pipe and bracket from the electric AT oil pump bracket and set it out of the way.

7.  Remove in the order shown in the figure.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Oil Hose Installation Note

Note
•  If reusing the hose, install the new hose clamp exactly on the mark left by the previous hose clamp. Then apply force to the hose clamp in the direction of the arrow in order to fit the clamp in place.

1.  Align the marks, and slide the oil hose onto the oil pipe until it is fully seated as shown.

2.  Install the hose clamp.

3.  Install the hose clamp onto the hose.

4.  Verify that the hose clamp does not interfere with any other components.
