• Open or short circuit in wiring harness between multi information display and front door speaker through audio unit
• Poor connection of audio unit connector, terminal damage

Go to the next step.

|
Adjust the navigation guidance volume by navigation set-up. (Refer to navigation system owner’s manual.)

• Turn the audio power switch (CD, radio) to ON.
• Does the front speaker work?
|
Yes
|
Go to Step 6.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

• Switch the ignition to off.
• Remove the front door speaker.
• Is front door speaker securely connected?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Securely connect the front door speaker connector.
|

• Disconnect the front door speaker connector (4-pin).
• Inspect both the front door speaker and wiring harness-side connector for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled out pins, corrosion).
• Are all the pins normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
If the front door speaker connector is wrong:
• Replace the front door speaker.
If the wiring harness-side connector is wrong:
• Repair or replace the pins and/or the connector.

• Inspect the front door speaker.
• Is it normal?

Yes

Replace the front door speaker.

• Inspect the connection of multi information display connector (24-pin).
• Is the connector securely connected?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Securely connect the multi information display connector.

• Disconnect the multi information display connector (24-pin).
• Inspect both the multi information display and wiring harness-side connector for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled out pins, corrosion).
• Are all pins normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

If the multi information display connector is wrong:
• Replace the multi information display.
If the wiring harness-side connector is wrong:
• Repair or replace the pins and/or the connector.

• Inspect the continuity between the following terminals:
• Is there continuity?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

• Repair or replace the related wiring harness between the audio unit and the multi information display.
• Then go to the next step.

• Is the connector connected securely?

Yes
