HEADLIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Bulb Type

Headlight LO bulb

1.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).

2.  Fully turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction of the side the headlight bulb is being removed.

3.  Switch the ignition off.

4.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].)

5.  Partially peel back the front mudguard. (See MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Disconnect the connector.

Caution

•  If there is oil or dirt on the surface of the light bulb, excessive heat will build up and the life of the light bulb will be shortened. If the light bulb glass area is touched, wipe off any dirt using a soft cloth dampened with detergent diluted in water (approx. 5%).

7.  Turn the headlight LO bulb counterclockwise and remove it in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Headlight HI bulb

Without running light system or Saudi Arabia specs.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].)

2.  Disconnect the connector.

Caution

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].)

2.  Turn the cover counterclockwise and remove it in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

3.  Turn the headlight HI bulb counterclockwise and remove it in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

4.  Disconnect the connector.

5.  Remove the headlight HI bulb.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

LED Type

Note

•  The headlight (LED type) is integrated with the front combination light.

•  When replacing the headlight (LED type), replace it together with the front combination light. (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
