DTC P1329:00 [MZR-CD 2.2]
id0102f3149200
DTC P1329:00 |
Common rail pressure higher than desired (engine running) |
---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
• PCM monitors common rail pressure using the fuel pressure sensor built in the common rail while engine running. If the actual fuel pressure is higher than 250 MPa {2,549 kgf/cm2, 36,260 psi} or the calculated pressure based on engine speed for 1 s, the PCM determines that the common rail pressure is higher than the required value.
• PCM monitors common rail pressure using the fuel pressure sensor built in the common rail while engine running. If the actual fuel pressure is higher than 217 MPa {2,213 kgf/cm2, 31,473 psi} or calculated pressure based on engine speed for 60 s, the PCM determines that the common rail pressure higher then desired value.
Monitoring condition
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2) and snapshot data are available.
• DTCs are stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Fuel pressure limiter malfunction
• Suction control valve malfunction
• PCM malfunction

Go to the next step.
4
VERIFY FUEL PRESSURE AT COMMON RAIL
• Access FRP PID.
• Crank the engine.
• Does the FRP PID indicate below fuel pressure limiter opening pressure?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the common rail, then go to Step 6.
5
INSPECT SUCTION CONTROL VALVE
• Inspect the suction control valve.
• Is there any malfunction?

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P1329:00 COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
• Start the engine.
• Perform the Pending Trouble Code Access Procedure.
• Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
7
