Caution
•  To prevent the A/F sensor damage, do not perform the following operation before starting the engine for the first time after the PCM is replaced.
―  Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times repeatedly while depressing the brake pedal with the switch the ignition to ON.
Note
•  If the PCM is replaced, always perform each adjustment procedure using the following steps.

Perform the diesel particulate filter regeneration procedure.
Note
•  If diesel particulate filter regeneration cannot be performed, go to Step 3.
Engine coolant temperature 70 °C {158 °F} or more

Using the following PIDs, verify that the diesel particulate filter regeneration has been completed.
―  REG_REQ_A
―  REG_REQ_F

Replace the PCM.

Switch the ignition to ON.

Perform the PCM configuration procedure.

Perform the A/F sensor data reset procedure.

Perform the immobilizer system-related parts programming.

Perform the after repair procedure.

Switch the ignition to off.

Wait for 20 s.

Switch the ignition to ON.

Start the engine.
Verify that the MIL does not illuminate.

Switch the ignition to off.

Switch the ignition to ON. (Engine off)

Perform the KOEO self test procedure.
16
Perform the intake shutter valve/EGR valve initialization procedure.
Engine coolant temperature 60—95 °C {140—203 °F}

Perform the exhaust gas pressure sensor data reset procedure.

Switch the ignition to off.

Wait for 20 s.

Start the engine.

Perform the KOER self test procedure.
Warm up until the exhaust gas temperature (PID: EXHTEMP1, EXHTEMP2) is 100 °C {212 °F} or more.

Perform the fuel injector injection amount correction procedure.
Engine coolant temperature 60—95 °C {140—203 °F}

Switch the ignition to off.

Wait for 20 s.

Switch the ignition to ON.

Start the engine.

Perform the diesel particulate filter assessment procedure.
Engine coolant temperature 60 °C {140 °F} or more

Perform the diesel particulate filter regeneration procedure.
Note
•  If the diesel particulate filter regeneration in Step 1 has not been performed, perform it 2 times.
Engine coolant temperature 70 °C {158°F} or more

Using the following PIDs, verify that the diesel particulate filter regeneration has been completed.
―  REG_REQ_A
―  REG_REQ_F

Perform the repair verification drive mode.

Verify that O2S11_CAL value is not 0 using the PID O2S11_CAL.
―  If the value is 0, return to the previous step.

Switch the ignition to off.


L.H.D.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

2.  Remove the front side trim (RH). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the front scuff plate (RH). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the side wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Partially peek back the floor covering.

6.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


U.K. specs.

Set Bolt Removal Note

1.  Using a chisel and a hammer, cut a groove on the head of the set bolt so that a screwdriver can be inserted.

2.  Loose the set bolt using an impact screwdriver or pliers.

Set Bolt Installation Note

1.  Install a new set bolt and tighten it until the neck of the bolt is cut.
