DTC P0236:00

Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor signal gradient not compatible

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM monitors the MAP sensor signal voltage. If the change in manifold pressure which the MAP sensor detects exceeds 19.9997 kPa {0.204 kgf/cm2, 2.901 psi}/10 ms, the PCM determines that the MAP sensor signal gradient is incompatible.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Improper operation of
―  EGR valve
―  Intake shutter valve
―  Boost control (VBC solenoid valve)
•  Leakage or air suction at intake-air system
•  MAP sensor connector or terminal malfunction
•  MAP sensor malfunction
•  MAP sensor loose installation
•  Blockage of MAP sensor detection area, or foreign matter adhering
•  PCM malfunction
