REAR LOWER ARM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the auto leveling sensor link lower side. (Vehicle with discharge headlight system) (See AUTO LEVELING SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

3.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

4.  Inspect the wheel alignment and adjust it if necessary. (See REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT.)

Rear Stabilizer Control Link Upper Part Removal Note

1.  Disconnect the rear stabilizer control link upper part.

Caution
•  Even if the servicing is performed only on one side of the vehicle, disconnect the rear stabilizer control link on the left and right sides.

2.  Rotate the rear stabilizer as shown in the figure.

Rear Lower Arm (RH) Removal Note (MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo)

1.  Remove the charcoal canister installation bolts (rear side), and push the charcoal canister up slightly.

2.  Remove the rear lower arm inner bolt.

3.  Remove the rear lower arm.


Rear Lower Arm (RH) Installation Note (MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo)

1.  Push the charcoal canister up slightly.

2.  Install the rear lower arm inner bolt.

3.  Tighten the charcoal canister installation bolts (rear side).

Rear Stabilizer Control Link Upper Side Nut Installation Note

1.  Verify the shape of the removed nut and if it is an A type, replace the nut with a new one.

Caution
•  Because the A type nut is a locknut, if the nut is reused it could loosen.

2.  Install and tighten the nut.

Tightening torque
A type: 44—60 N·m {4.5—6.1 kgf·m, 33—44 ft·lbf}
B type: 45—55 N·m {4.6—5.6 kgf·m, 34—40 ft·lbf}
