• C0044:01
• C0044:28, C0044:64
• C0044:54

POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• The initialization procedure for the brake fluid pressure sensor has not been performed.
• Brake fluid pressure sensor malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the brake fluid pressure sensor circuit in DSC HU/CM
• Brake switch malfunction (stuck off)

VERIFY NO ABNORMALITY ON BRAKE SWITCH
• Is the brake light illuminated when the brake pedal is depressed?

Yes
|
Perform the brake fluid pressure sensor initialization procedure, then go to the next step.(See DSC SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE.)
|

No
|
Inspect the brake switch. Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to the next step.
(See BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION.)

VERIFY NO ABNORMALITY ON BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR
• Clear the DTCs from the memory.
• Start the engine.
• Drive the vehicle at 40 km/h {25 mph} or more, then halt the vehicle. Repeat this sequence three times.
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.
|

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT
• Are any other DTCs output?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
