REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].) 2.  Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING.)

3.  Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor connector. (See Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Connector Removal Note (MZ-CD 1.6).)

Caution

•  If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.

4.  Loosen the refrigerant pressure sensor using two spanners.

5.  Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Installation Note.) (See Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Connector Installation Note (MZ-CD 1.6).)

7.  Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST.)

Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Connector Removal Note (MZ-CD 1.6)

1.  Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor connector while pulling the tab.

Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Connector Installation Note (MZ-CD 1.6)

Caution

•  If the refrigerant pressure sensor connector is connected with the retainer removed, it could result in deformity or damage to the refrigerant pressure sensor connector terminal. Before connecting the refrigerant pressure sensor connector, verify that the retainer is not removed from the connector.

1.  When connecting the refrigerant pressure sensor connector, verify that the retainer is not removed from the connector.

•  If the retainer is removed, install the retainer to the connector. (See Retainer Installation Note (MZ-CD 1.6).)

Retainer Installation Note (MZ-CD 1.6)

1.  When newly replacing the retainer, remove the retainer from the purchased short wiring harness using a flathead screwdriver.

2.  Verify that the O-ring is installed.

•  If the O-ring is removed, install it.

3.  Install the retainer to the refrigerant pressure sensor connector.

1.  Apply compressor oil to the O-rings and connect the joints.
