Description

•  Frequency of white gauge display is high even though vehicle is driven on level straightaway
•  Driving diagnostic score according to stage is not displayed
•  Driving diagnostic score is bad compared with another vehicle of same model

Possible cause

White gauge deviation due to pedal operation
•  PCM detects malfunction and vehicle driving condition is in fail-safe
•  Accelerator pedal position sensor signal error
―  Accelerator pedal position sensor malfunction
―  Accelerator pedal malfunction
―  Wiring harness malfunction between accelerator pedal position sensor and PCM
•  Vehicle speed signal malfunction
―  ABS wheel speed sensor malfunction (improper installation, malfunction)
―  ABS wheel-speed sensor rotor loss
•  Engine malfunction (engine malfunction increases acceleration pedal depression)
―  Abnormal acceleration
―  Hesitation during acceleration
White gauge deviation due to steering operation
•  Steering angle signal error
―  Steering angle sensor malfunction
•  Vehicle speed signal malfunction
―  ABS wheel speed sensor malfunction (improper installation, malfunction)
―  ABS wheel-speed sensor rotor loss
―  Tire malfunction (pressure adjustment malfunction, irregular tire diameter)

VERIFY DTCs FOR RELATED MODULES
•  Using the M-MDS, verify DTCs for PCM, DSC HU/CM, BCM, information display/multi information display and instrument cluster.
•  Can DTCs be verified?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
•  System is normal.
If the vehicle is normal, refer to INTELLIGENT DRIVE MASTER (i-DM) for instruction, and explain the contents of the driving operation determination and display to the customer to have them understand that there is no problem in the system.
•  Symptom troubleshooting is completed.
