No.3 INTELLIGENT DRIVE MASTER GAUGE DOES NOT OPERATE [INTELLIGENT DRIVE MASTER (i-DM)]

id0903k6010100

Description

•  Acceleration/deceleration G, turning angle G rate of change (passenger oscillation speed), and range of change (extent of passenger oscillation) are not reflected in white gauge
•  White gauge does not work even though acceleration/deceleration G, turning angle G rate of change (passenger oscillation speed), and range of change (extent of passenger oscillation) have changed

Possible cause

White gauge deviation due to pedal operation
•  PCM detects malfunction and vehicle driving condition is in fail-safe
•  Accelerator pedal position sensor signal error
―  Accelerator pedal position sensor malfunction
―  Accelerator pedal malfunction
―  Wiring harness malfunction between accelerator pedal position sensor and PCM
White gauge deviation due to steering operation
•  Steering angle signal error
―  Steering angle sensor malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step

Inspection

Results

Action

1
VERIFY DTCs FOR RELATED MODULES
•  Using the M-MDS, verify DTCs for PCM, DSC HU/CM, BCM, and instrument cluster.
•  Can DTCs be verified?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
•  System is normal.
If the vehicle is normal, refer to INTELLIGENT DRIVE MASTER (i-DM) for instruction, and explain the contents of the driving operation determination and display to the customer to have them understand that there is no problem in the system.
•  Symptom troubleshooting is completed.
