TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

2.  Remove the trunk lid trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the high-mount brake light. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the trunk lid opener switch. (See TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Verify the continuity of trunk lid opener switch terminals A and B.

6.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If the operation cannot be verified, replace the trunk lid opener switch.
