Fuel injector learning not done

DETECTION CONDITION

•  The injection amount correction does not complete.

Diagnostic support note

•  The MIL does not illuminate.

•  FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is not available.

•  The DTC is not stored in the PCM memory.

•  Can not clear the DTC from the PCM memory by battery disconnected.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  Injection amount correction procedure has not been completed.

•  PCM malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION	• The injection amount correction does not complete. Diagnostic support note • The MIL does not illuminate. • FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is not available. • The DTC is not stored in the PCM memory. • Can not clear the DTC from the PCM memory by battery disconnected.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• Injection amount correction procedure has not been completed. • PCM malfunction

Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY • Verify related Service Information availability. • Is any related Service Information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information. • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM INJECTION AMOUNT CORRECTION PROCEDURE • Perform the injection amount correction procedure again. (See FUEL INJECTOR INJECTION AMOUNT CORRECTION [MZR-CD 2.2].) • Start the engine. • Verify that the glow indicator light condition. • Do the glow indicator light turn off?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Perform the fuel injector adjustment procedure (fuel injector data reset and fuel injector code program etc.) again, then go to the next step. (See FUEL INJECTOR DATA RESET [MZR-CD 2.2].) (See FUEL INJECTOR CODE PROGRAM [MZR-CD 2.2].)
3	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED • Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors. • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [MZR-CD 2.2].) • Start the engine. • Perform the DTC Reading Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD 2.2].) • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE • Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [MZR-CD 2.2].) • Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [MZR-CD 2.2].)
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
