DTC P242F:00 |
Diesel particulate filter restriction—ash accumulation |
---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The PCM calculates the diesel particulate filter ash accumulation based on the exhaust gas pressure sensor signal. If the PCM calculates that the ash accumulation amount is more than 17 g/L {1.06 lb/ft3}, the PCM determines that the diesel particulate filter ash accumulation excessive.
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• DTC for MIL illumination is recorded
• The vehicle is driven while the DPF indicator light is on
• PCM malfunction
