BRAKE FLUID LEVEL SENSOR INSPECTION

L.H.D.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector. (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L.H.D.].)

4.  Inspect for continuity according to fluid level between the brake fluid level sensor terminals.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the reserve tank. (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L.H.D.].)

R.H.D.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  For SKYACTIV-G 2.0 or SKYACTIV-G 2.5 or SKYACTIV-G 2.5T perform the following procedure:

(1)  Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

(2)  Remove the cooler hose (LO) installation nut. (See REFRIGERANT LINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See REFRIGERANT LINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

(3)  Detach the cooler hose (LO) from the clip.

3.  Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector. (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.].)

4.  Inspect for continuity according to fluid level between the brake fluid level sensor terminals.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the reserve tank. (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.].)
