REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Rear buckle (LH)

1.  Switch the ignition to off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear seat side back (See REAR SEAT SIDE BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  High-mount brake light (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Rear package trim (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Detach the clip. (with rear seat belt reminder system)

5.  Disconnect the connector. (with rear seat belt reminder system)

6.  Remove the bolts.

7.  Remove the rear center seat belt retractor.

8.  Remove the rear center seat belt with the rear buckle (LH).

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear buckle installation note.)

Rear buckle (RH)

1.  Switch the ignition to off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Detach the clip. (with rear seat belt reminder system)

5.  Disconnect the connector. (with rear seat belt reminder system)

6.  Remove the bolt.

7.  Remove the rear buckle (RH).

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear buckle installation note.)

Rear buckle installation note

1.  After installing the rear buckle, place it as shown in the figure.

5.  Disconnect the connector. (with rear seat belt reminder system)

6.  Remove the bolt.

7.  Remove the rear buckle (LH).

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear buckle installation note.)

Rear buckle (RH)

6.  Remove the bolt.

7.  Remove the rear buckle (RH).

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear buckle installation note.)

Rear buckle installation note

1.  After installing the rear buckle, place it as shown in the figure.
