•  When iPod is connected, audio unit read error is detected.

VERIFY MUSIC FILES IN iPod
•  Is there any playable music file in the iPod?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
System is normal. (No playable file in USB device/iPod)
Go to Step 3.

INSPECT iPod
•  Connect the iPod to a same-model vehicle (model/unit).
•  Is the iPod connection detected/unit plays back?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
System is normal. (iPod malfunction or incompatible USB device.)
Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Clear the audio unit DTCs.
•  Perform the audio unit DTC inspection.
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the audio unit.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
