COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Windshield wiper motor (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the bolts.

4.  Disconnect the connectors.

5.  Remove the wiring harness clips A and B.

6.  Detach the hook of the vacuum hose clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove the vacuum hose in the direction of arrow (2).

7.  While pulling up the side cowl grille in the direction of arrow (1), remove the cowl panel in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure.

Note

•  When replacing the cowl panel, remove the keyless beeper. (See KEYLESS BEEPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
