SEAT VENTILATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning

•  Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Front seat back

1.  Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  For vehicles with rear foot illumination, perform the following procedure.

(1)  Remove the screw.

(2)  Move the rear foot illumination cover in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and remove the pin.

(3)  Remove the rear foot illumination cover.

(4)  Disconnect the rear foot illumination connector.

5.  Remove the fasteners and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame.

6.  Disconnect the front seat back ventilation unit connector shown in the figure.

7.  Cut the band.

8.  Move hook A in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and detach it from hook B. (Without front seat back board)

9.  Unzip the zippers. (Without front seat back board)

10.  Remove the hooks. (Without front seat back board)

11.  For vehicles with front seat back board, perform the following procedure.

(1)  Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, and remove the clips from the front seat back frame.

(2)  Move the front seat back board in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to release the guides, and remove the front seat back board from the front seat back trim.

(3)  Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and remove the front seat back trim hooks from the front seat back frame.

12.  Cut the bands.

13.  Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and remove the front seat back ventilation trim hooks from the front seat back frame.

14.  Move the front seat ventilation unit in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

15.  Pull the front seat back ventilation unit wiring harness shown in the figure out through the holes in the front seat back pad.

16.  Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and detach the tab.

17.  Move the front seat back ventilation unit in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and remove it.

18.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Front seat cushion

1.  Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the front seat cushion. (See FRONT SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Unfasten the surface fastener and set the front seat cushion ventilation trim away from the frame through-hole.

6.  Detach the hook from the position shown in the figure and remove the front seat cushion ventilation unit.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
