3	i-stop INDICATOR LIGHT (GREEN) FLASHES
DESCRIPTION	• i-stop indicator light (green) remains flashing during i-stop.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Note • If in gear while i-stop is operating, the i-stop indicator light (green) flashes continuously. (MTX) • If the driver’s door is open while i-stop is operating, the i-stop warning light (green) flashes continuously. (European (L.H.D. U.K.) specs.) • i-stop operation conditions are not met.

• i-stop indicator light (green) remains flashing during i-stop.

Note

• If in gear while i-stop is operating, the i-stop indicator light (green) flashes continuously. (MTX)

• If the driver’s door is open while i-stop is operating, the i-stop warning light (green) flashes continuously. (European (L.H.D. U.K.) specs.)

• i-stop operation conditions are not met.

No	ATX: • Go to Step 4. MTX: • Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION IS DUE TO EFFECT OF VEHICLE USE CONDITION • Verify how the customer drives the vehicle by asking the customer the following: ― If the shift lever is shifted to a position other than neutral during i-stop, the i-stop indicator light (green) flashes to indicate that the vehicle is in gear. (MTX) • Is the shift lever shifted to a position other than neutral during i-stop operation?	Yes	Explain to the customer that the vehicle is normal, provide the conditions for i-stop operation, and advise the customer how to use it.
No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT NEUTRAL SWITCH • Inspect the neutral switch. (See NEUTRAL SWITCH INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Go to the next step.
No	Replace the neutral switch. (See NEUTRAL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [D66M-R, D66MX-R].) Go to the next step.
4	Verify the test results. • If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. (See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSTIC INDEX [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) • If a malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform the repair or diagnosis. ― If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed. ― If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
