AUTO LIGHT CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION

id091800807400

1. Connect the connector to the auto light control module.

2. Connect the negative battery cable.

3. Measure the voltage at the auto light control module using voltmeter.

• When inspecting terminal 1G, 2J or 1J for continuity, disconnect the auto light control module connector.

4. If the value are not as specified in the Terminal Voltage List (Reference), inspect the parts under "Action" and related wiring harnesses.

5. If the system does not work properly even though the parts or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the auto light control module.

2A Terminal Inspection

1. Connect the negative battery cable.

2. Verify that the vehicle speed signal to auto light control module terminal 2A is input correctly using an oscilloscope.

(1) Connect the oscilloscope and inspect auto light control module terminal 2A and the negative battery terminal.
(2) Set the oscilloscope to 5V/DIV (Y), 20 ms/DIV (X), DC range.
(3) Verify that the wave pattern in the figure is displayed while the vehicle is moving at 20 km/h.

Note
• As the vehicle speed increases, the frequency shortens.
