Battery voltage low

DETECTION CONDITION

•  The TCM detects that battery voltage is less than threshold (changes by ATF temperature) at engine speed 500 rpm or more.

Diagnostic support note:

•  This is a continuous monitor (CCM).

•  The MIL does not illuminate.

•  PENDING CODE is not available.

•  FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.

•  The AT warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction conditions during the first drive cycle.

•  DTCs are stored in the TCM memory.

•  Generator malfunction

•  TCM malfunction

Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY • Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability. • Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT GENERATOR • Inspect the generator. (See GENERATOR INSPECTION [L8, LF, L5].) • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Replace the generator, then go to the next step. (See GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF, L5].)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P1566:00 COMPLETED • Make sure to reconnect all the disconnected connectors. • Clear the DTC from the memory using the M-MDS. • Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved: ― Start the engine. • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the TCM, then go to the next step. (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS5A-EL].)
3		No	No concern is detected. Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE • Perform the “After Repair Procedure”. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [FS5A-EL].) • Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [FS5A-EL].)
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
