DETECTION CONDITION

U3003:16
|
ROOM power supply circuit voltage 4 V—9 V is detected for 10 s
|
U3003:17
|
ROOM power supply circuit voltage higher than 16 V is detected for 0.5 s while the engine is running
|
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• MAIN 125 A fuse malfunction
• BTN 40 A fuse malfunction
• ROOM 15 A fuse malfunction
• Battery malfunction
• Connector or terminal malfunction
• Short circuit to ground or power supply in wiring harness between battery and BCM connector terminal 4B
• Short circuit to ground or power supply in wiring harness between BCM connector terminal 7N and keyless control module connector terminal 1D
• Open circuit in wiring harness between battery and BCM connector terminal 4B
• Open circuit in wiring harness between BCM connector terminal 7N and keyless control module connector terminal 1D
• BCM malfunction
• Keyless control module malfunction

INSPECT ROOM 15 A FUSE
• Switch the ignition to off.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Remove the ROOM 15 A fuse.
• Inspect the fuse.
• Is the ROOM 15 A fuse normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the ROOM 15 A fuse.
After replacement, go to Step 9.
|

|
INSPECT MAIN 125 A FUSE AND BTN 40 A FUSE
• Remove the MAIN 125 A fuse and the BTN 40 A fuse.
• Inspect the fuses.
• Are the MAIN 125 A fuse and the BTN 40 A fuse normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the malfunctioning fuse.
After replacement, go to Step 9.
|

|
INSPECT BATTERY
• Measure the battery positive voltage.
• Is the voltage 9—16V?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Higher than specification
• Recharge or replace the battery, then go to Step 9.
Lower than specification
• Replace or charge the battery, then go to Step 9.

INSPECT BCM CONNECTOR CONDITION
• Disconnect the BCM connector
• Inspect the connector and terminals (corrosion, damage, pin disconnection).
• Is the connector normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair/replace the connector or terminal.
After repair procedure, go to Step 9.
|

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR CONDITION
• Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
• Inspect the connector and terminals (corrosion, damage, pin disconnection).
• Is the connector normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair/replace the connector or terminal.
After repair procedure, go to Step 9.
|

|
INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN BATTERY AND BCM
• Inspect wiring harness between battery and BCM connector terminal 4B for the following:
• Is the wiring harness normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair/replace the wiring harness.
After repair procedure, go to Step 9.
|

|
INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN BCM AND KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE
• Inspect wiring harness between BCM connector terminal 7N and keyless control module connector terminal 1D for the following:
• Is the wiring harness normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair/replace the wiring harness.After repair procedure, go to Step 9.
|

|
INSPECT BCM
• Install the ROOM 15 A fuse, MAIN 125 A fuse and BTN 40 A fuse.
• Reconnect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition to ON.
• Measure the voltage at BCM connector terminals 4B and 7N.
• Is the voltage normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the BCM.
After replacement, go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY DTC
• Install the ROOM 15 A fuse, MAIN 125 A fuse and BTN 40 A fuse.
• Reconnect the disconnected connectors and the negative battery cable.
• Clear DTC using the M-MDS.
• Verify DTC using the M-MDS.
• Is the same DTC present?
|
Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the keyless control module.

|
VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
• Are there other DTCs output?
|
Yes
|
Perform the corresponding DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
