DTCs read from AFS OFF light

1.  Switch the ignition ON.

Caution

•  If the AFS OFF light flashes two times at approx. 1.25 s intervals, perform the AFS initial setting, as there could be a malfunction in the AFS initial setting. (See AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM) INITIALIZATION.)

Note

•  For the AFS OFF light valve verification, the AFS OFF light illuminates for approx. 3 s after the ignition is switched ON.

•  If the AFS is non-operable, the AFS OFF light remains illuminated. Therefore, flashing of the AFS OFF light cannot be confirmed. Verify that the AFS OFF switch is off (AFS is operable).

2.  Read the DTCs during the period before the AFS OFF light flashes.

Note

•  The AFS OFF light starts flashing from approx. 6.5 s or 10 s after the ignition is switched ON.

3.  Switch the ignition off (LOCK).

1.  Inspect the instrument cluster DTCs. (See DTC INSPECTION [AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM)].)
